Program Description:

Faculty Led Program - Italy
Spring 2020

Permission of instructor is required for participation.


March 12     Depart the U.S.
March 13      Arrive in Rome.
                     Move into hotel; Orientation; Lunch.
                     Walking tour of Rome; Group Dinner
March 14     Morning: Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill; Afternoon: Trajan Market and the Circus Maximus
March 15     Vatican City - full day
March 16     Depart for Naples
                     Visit Naples Archeological Museum, Group Lunch. Pompeii, then hotel check-in. Group dinner
March 17     Visit Mount Vesuvius - climb up to crater. Group lunch, Herculaneum. Evening return to Rome - check into hotel
March 18     Capitoline Museum, followed by free time in Rome. You are suggested to visit Caracalla, Forum Boarium, or spend the afternoon checking out the quaint                                   neighborhood of Trastevere
March 19     Guided tour of Appia Antica; visit the church of San Clemente (including the underground excavations), San Pietro in Vincoli, San Giovanni in Laterano
                    (optional: climb the Scala Sancta, or holy stairs), Santa Maria Maggiore and Santa Prassede
March 20     Visit Galleria Borgese and gradens; free time to explore Rome suggested visits to the Capuchin Crypt (a very unique site!), the Spanish Steps or more of                                  Rome’s many famous churches (Santa Maria degli Angeli, Santa Maria del Populo, etc.). Farewell Dinner.
March 21     Depart for the U.S.


Program Price: $3,350

Deposit Structure:
May 13            $350 (non-refundable deposit) This deposit requires completion of the attached form, to be presented to Bursar at the time of deposit

NOTE: Payments are due by date indicated, and can be made in the amount greater than, but not less than, the minimum. Lump sum deposits are acceptable and must be arranged with Carisa Calabrese of Bursar:

Other costs:
$200 study abroad fee     Charged to your Spring 2020 Bursar bill, becomes a part of your tuition/fees;
$250 supplemental          Minimum you are advised to bring with you to Italy to cover cost of meals not included in program;
$110 passport fee            Minimum fee required to apply for a new/renewed U.S. passport.

Payments can be made in any one of two ways:
1. In person at the Bursar’s office, via cash, check or credit/debit card; or
2. Through the Bursar tab in your goPortal, via credit/debit card, or electronic check.
Payments being made before July 1, 2019 must be made in person at the Bursar’s office, and must be accompanied by the attached Deposit Form.
If you plan to use financial aid to fund your program costs, you must meet with the Lynda Nagy or Jenifer Robin of Financial Aid at least 2 days prior to the first deposit due date (please schedule an appointment via the link in my signature). A standard Cost Sheet for the Italy program is attached for your convenience, we will discuss it during our appointment.
