Scholarships & Funding
The cost of studying abroad can sometimes be hectic and worrisome. That's why, as part of a push to encourage and afford the amazing benefits of studying abroad to our students, Stockton University has started a Education Abroad Scholarship Program. This program offers several different ways for students to earn a scholarship based on different criteria.
|Stockton Education Abroad Scholarship|
|The scholarships offered by Stockton University will appear on the application as Section I and Section II. All students are eligible to apply for the scholarship under Section I. Students eligible for Section II must complete both Sections I and II of the application.
The Office of Global Engagement Scholarship (Section I)
The Office of Global Engagement (OGE) award amounts vary according to the type of travel. For short term faculty led programs, the amounts range from $300 to $500. For semester programs, they range from $600.00 to $1000.00. All students are eligible and encouraged to apply.
To be considered for an award, you must submit a screenshot of your financial aid package, if applicable, and an essay of 500-750 words demonstrating why you want to go abroad and addressing the following points:
The Stockton University Foundation Scholarship for Education Abroad (Section II)
The Stockton University Foundation Scholarship for Education Abroad is available to students who have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 and who are studying abroad for a semester. The award amount is $500.00.
To be considered for this award, you must complete the additional Section II of the scholarship application. Under Section II, you will be asked to provide the following information:
The scholarship application is built into the online global opportunities application. You will be required to provide proof of GPA, your Stockton Z number and a screenshot of your financial aid package, if applicable. The essay may be written directly in the application or copy and pasted or uploaded into the application.

CEA scholarships are open to all CEA program participants who meet the eligibility requirements; their objective is to aid students in subsidizing the cost of their study abroad program. Apply now

|This is a list of scholarships and grants offered to students participating in one or more ISA program. Please see each scholarship description for eligibility requirements, application materials and required documents. Students selected for awards will be notified approximately six weeks after the scholarship application deadline, and a list of awardees will be posted on the ISA website. Apply now|
|To be eligible, students do not necessarily need to qualify for standard forms of financial aid (such as Pell Grants) on their home campuses. Applicants are strongly encouraged to file the FAFSA and submit the Student Aid Report to ISE along with tax returns from the most recent tax year and any supplemental information that might be helpful in our review. |The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program offers grants for U.S. citizen undergraduate students of limited financial means to pursue academic studies or credit-bearing, career-oriented internships abroad. Such international exchange is intended to better prepare U.S. students to assume significant roles in an increasingly global economy and interdependent world. Click here fore more information|
|Boren Scholarships, an initiative of the National Security Education Program, provide unique funding opportunities for U.S. undergraduate students to study less commonly taught languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests, and underrepresented in study abroad, including Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
